What’s it all about?

Hamish WatsonLast year my Dad died after a courageous battle against cancer. Throughout the last year of his life he, and we, were supported by the amazing people at The Royal Marsden Hospital and St Catherine’s Hospice.

Without their expertise, patience and support that period of time would have been so much harder for all of us. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for the time they gave and the care they showed my father.

My hope is that I can raise funds for these two incredible organisations that will enable them to give similar support to others.

On October 11th I will be flying to Nepal to start a grueling 19 day trek which will, take me to a height of more than 5.5km above sea level before dropping back down to Everest base Camp and then returning to Kathmandu.

It is a trip that I have wanted to undertake for more than 30 years, but now means so much more that I am doing it in my father’s memory and to raise money for two such important organisations with all donations being split between the two charities.
